Xiaomi is a fairly new budget gadget brand in India which has made its name by manufacturing some really good budget phones & now earphones.
In fact, Xiaomi which sells for only Rs. 399 on Amazon is one of my favorite budget earphones right now. That’s why I was pretty happy when I got to try out and review their relatively Budget-end product, the Mi YDJC01JY Wired Headset.
In this article, I am going to share my experience and will tell you if the Xiaomi earphones justify its pricing or not:
Before we started review,let's checkout what else inside the box.
1.Xiaomi YDJC01JY earphone.
2.2 pair of ear bud.
Specification:
Since it is a wired earphone,there is not much to talk about in terms of specification.The wire is approaximately 1 meter long & the earpod is coming with 2 variant:red & Black. Extra 1 pair of ear bud is inside in the box.
Design and built quality:
I was instantly disappointed as soon as I took the Xiaomi earphone out of their box. I was disappointed as I had high expectation for its build quality. The earbud casing is made of plastic and feels really cheap in hands. The wire is also normal rounded cable and feels as if xiaomi picked it directly from cheap over the counter earphones.The wire is built as normal cheap earphones as we are not expecting that much of quality for a Rs.399.In line Remote control with a single button is present for receiving and disconnecting the call.A mic is present separately just below the remote button.
Sound Quality:
The sound quality of Xiaomi earphone is much better than i expected.Even if the call quality also good.In crowd also it is performs better.Sound is more powerful with good bass in this price range.
Pros:
Audio quality
Calls sound really good even in noisy environments.
Cons:
Ear buds are not good.
Lousy build quality
Lacks in base
